For Chabad Houses that serve travelers

Every guest, every donation and every dollar of your Chabad House. In one place.

Contacts, Shabbat registrations, donations, finances and emails to travelers, in Hebrew and English. Connects to Flowiz, Kesher and Stripe, and replaces spreadsheets, WhatsApp groups and a handful of separate programs.

Built by a Shliach who runs a Chabad House for travelers, out of the day-to-day work of running one.

What changes for you

Three moments every Chabad House for travelers knows well.

Erev Shabbat and Motzaei Shabbat

Know who is coming and who has paid

The week page shows who signed up, who paid and who didn't, how many people to expect at each meal, and who is in town right now.

After the traveler gets home

The connection doesn't fade

A thank-you email goes out on its own after the visit. Three weeks after the last visit, a gentle note follows with a donation link. Each step turns on only when you decide.

End of the month

Know how much you can spend

Your account balances, plus the recurring donations still to come in, minus your fixed expenses: one line that tells you how much you can spend until the end of the month.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with Flowiz?

Yes. In Settings, under Connections, you create a link and send Flowiz a ready-made message. Once the link is connected, every registration and payment comes in on its own. The same goes for Kesher and Stripe.

What about the list we already have?

Import it from a CSV file, Airtable, Google Sheets or Excel, and Kesher's Excel files as they are. On the annual plan and the founding offer, we do the import for you.

Who can see the amounts?

Owners and editors see everything. A volunteer sees who is registered for Shabbat and the meals, updates contacts and enters expenses and income, but never sees any amounts, donations or reports.

Are there donation receipts?

Yes. Donations through Stripe and Flowiz automatically get a thank-you email with a PDF donation receipt, using your organization's details. Kesher issues its own receipts.

Can I see travelers in the contacts on my phone?

Yes, if you want to. In Settings, under Connections, each staff member can connect their own Google account. The system adds your recent travelers to that person's contacts, and, if you choose, your donors too, under a separate label. That way you can see who is calling or messaging on WhatsApp. The sync goes only from the system to Google: other contacts in the account are never read or changed. You can disconnect at any time. Details are in the privacy policy.

What happens if we stop?

Send us an email. Access continues to the end of the paid period, and you can export all your data to a file for 30 days after cancelling.

Lamplighter at a glance

Lamplighter (Lamplighter CRM) is web-based CRM software (SaaS) for Chabad houses that serve travelers: contacts, Shabbat registrations, donations, finances and email updates, in Hebrew and English. It connects to Flowiz, Kesher and Stripe, and includes email campaigns, an automatic post-visit email sequence, team roles (including volunteers who see no amounts), and a month-end spending forecast.

  • Monthly: 39 USD per month. Optional full setup: 200 USD one-time. Self-import from CSV is free.
  • Annual: 460 USD per year, full setup included.
  • Founding offer: the first five houses pay 290 USD for the first year, setup included.

Billing in advance by card via Stripe. Cancel any time by email; access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds: none for unused time or completed setup; charges made in error are refunded in full.

Privacy: each customer's data belongs to that customer and is never sold or shared. After cancellation it can be exported for 30 days, then it is deleted. Full privacy policy.

Google Contacts (optional): a staff member can connect their own Google account in Settings > Connections. Lamplighter then writes the house's recent guests (and donors, if chosen) into that user's Google Contacts, under a separate label, so callers are recognized on the phone. The sync is one-way, from Lamplighter to Google. Lamplighter does not read or change any other contact, and the user can disconnect at any time. Google user data is used only for this feature, under the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. See the privacy policy.
